Well stocked store. Lots of options in the prepared and fresh foods department. Prices are lower than I expected. A 4l carton of milk is about the same price as down south. Meat is reasonable. There's a decent assortment of fresh and frozen vegetables. On my flight in I sat across from a couple of boxes of avocados! Millenials you can get avocado on toast anywhere! Even a small hamlet in Nunavut! Also stayed at the hotel. It's cozy and comfortable. Internet is decent if you have work to do. Only one drawback - beds are singles not double or queen. But not big a deal. The coop us conveniently located in the town on the shore close to everything. Kimmirut is a beautiful community located on the shores of the bay the looks like a heel. Apparently that's what Kimmirut means. And there is a massive Rock in the bay that is uniquely shaped and does look like a heel of a foot!

The Kimik Co-op is one of two large retail stores in Kimmirut (Lake Harbour), Nunavut, Canada. Kimmirut is a "dry" community where the sale of alcohol is prohibited. The Kimik Co-op faces Glasgow Inlet off Hudson Strait on southern Baffin Island. To the north is the treeless Meta Incognita Peninsula.
Stayed here for work. As far as northern accommodations go, this place was top notch. The best best part far was the cook Bob who always had delicious meals for lunch and dinner. I felt like I was on vacation here!
Best place to stay in Kimmirut. Rooms are nothing fancy but nice, Billion dollar view on the ocean side. Good meals, usually. Bob makes an awesome fish n chips.
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Kimik co op and Cynthia was AMAZING. Hospitality was bar none the best I’ve had in the north, meals were great, staff was so kind. We were stuck in Kimmirut for 2 nights due to bad weather and Cynthia was so happy to have us. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We love you!
The only. Hotel in town, the host makes you feel most welcome, from all the places I visited one of if not the best service one can ask for.... If I had to bring someone anywhere in the territory it would be at this establishment... As long as the staff is there...
Excellent customer service, rooms do have microwave and fridge which is hard to find in far north. Highly recommended this place for Kimmirut visit.
